Why I still call myself Lady Trumpeter

People ask where “Lady Trumpeter” comes from. It is not a costume. It is how I show up — brass in hand, smile on, ready to teach or to play.

Scholarship and serious joy

In 2017 I graduated from the Musical Society of Nigeria as a trumpeter among MTN Foundation MUSON scholars, and was named Best Graduating Student. I said then what I still mean: it was a dream come true. That season gave me craft standards I still carry into every lesson.

Classroom to hub

Years as a lead music teacher at Debiruss — choir, instruments, ABRSM and MUSON exam prep — taught me that confidence grows in community. That is the spirit behind SpV Music Learning Hub: facilitators, practice, and pathways so learners are not alone with their instrument.

Create and amplify

As creative director at sPv hub I care about how stories travel — performance, video, and tools (including AI) that serve the human sound, not replace it. SPV Gists Arena is where we talk music, faith, and student voices out loud.
